Digital video production can be integrated in the standards-based elementary school curriculum to close the achievement gap, raise self-esteem, and teach media literacy.

The advantages of using Video in class are indisputable. Even though there are three main platforms to show videos on internet.

YOUTUBE

-          allows embed videos in blogs, forums, webs

-          100 Mb, 450x337 px, 30 img/sec

-          don’t allow to copy (.flv) but it can be converted

GOOGLE VIDEO

-          no allowed in all the countries

-          .riff .avi

-          don’t allow to copy 

The main advantage of using  video in internet is that students can see the video whenever they want and as many times as they consider necessary, regardless of the amount of copys available.

The main disadvantage is that we have to create our videos, as we have checked they must respect copyright laws. We can create this videos with different programs such as pinnacle studio, windows movie maker…
